Therefore, I thought it pertinent to add a section dedicated to the blog hero section alone. Follow the steps below to optimize your blog hero section.

Your blog hero section has a different goal than your product pages; for your blog, the hero section should do two things: persuade people to read that particular post and have elements of your goal. For example, if it is an e-commerce site, a button directing to a product/category page can help.
  2. Speed and Responsiveness: Internet users expect quick loading times. A delay of even a few seconds can lead to increased bounce rates and lost conversion opportunities. Optimizing image sizes and leveraging modern coding practices are effective strategies to enhance speed. For SEO, things like the largest contentful paint (LCP) and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) are mainly calculated based on the hero elements, so you must get this right.
  3. Call-to-Action (CTA) Visibility: Your CTA should be prominent and easy to tap. Placement in the centre or full width at the bottom of the screen can improve thumb reachability for most users, thereby increasing the likelihood of clicks.
  4. Visual Appeal: Your hero section can be visually appealing with high-quality images or concise videos that resonate with your target audience. Ensure these visuals are optimized for mobile devices to prevent distortion or unintended layout shifts.
  5. Minimalist Design: Overloading the hero section with too much information or visuals can overwhelm users and dilute the conversion message. A clean, minimalist design with ample white space helps focus user attention on the most important elements.
